The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) President Jaswar Umar has been appointed to the AFC Development Committee, marking another major international recognition for Sri Lanka’s football administrative leadership.

This appointment comes hard on the heels of his appointment by the world governing body FIFA to its Committee for Grassroots and Amateur Football, which further underscores his growing influence in both regional and global football administration.

Furthermore, Umar’s appointment to the AFC Development Committee comes at a time when Sri Lanka is making remarkable progress in the Asian football landscape.

Jawar Umar is currently attending the AFC Development Committee meeting which commenced in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Monday (13).
