Susanthi Jeewani Premachandra is a veteran media professional with over 34 years of distinguished service at the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC), having joined the national broadcaster in 1991. Throughout her illustrious career, she has played an integral role in covering and producing content for some of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, including the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, ICC cricket tournaments, and numerous other international and national sports events.
A committed professional, she successfully completed a five-month training program in Media and Television Production in the Netherlands, further strengthening her technical and creative expertise in broadcast journalism.
Susanthi is an active member of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and a respected Sri Lankan working journalist. She also serves as an Executive Member of the journalist community and is the President of the SLRC Producers’ Union, where she advocates for professional standards and the welfare of media practitioners.
Her excellence in sports program production has been recognized with numerous accolades, including three Sumathi Awards and a Raigam Award, underscoring her dedication, creativity, and contribution to the field of sports media in Sri Lanka.
Karuppiah Ramakrishnan is a distinguished media professional, senior sports journalist, and social activist with over 20 years of experience in the media and sports journalism field. He is the Founder of LNSPORTS and Hope Sri Lanka, two initiatives dedicated to promoting sports development, youth empowerment, and social welfare across the nation.
Ramakrishnan has worked for both government and private media institutions, earning respect for his versatility and leadership in the industry. He has served as an Executive Producer at Capital Maharaja Limited, as a Senior Sports Journalist at the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (Sunday Observer), and as Head of News at Carlton Sports Network (CSN) — Sri Lanka’s premier sports television channel.
He has also contributed to international media organizations, including work as an international correspondent for Thanthi TV (India) and contributor to The Guardian (UK), demonstrating his global perspective and professional reach.
Throughout his career, Ramakrishnan has covered and participated in some of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, including the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, World Athletics Championships, FIFA tournaments, and all major ICC cricket events.
His exceptional contributions to sports journalism and media have earned him international recognition, including honors from the Mayor of Harrow (United Kingdom) and the Mayor of George Town (Guyana), acknowledging his dedication to journalism and community service.
Ramakrishnan is an active member of several regional and international media organizations. He serves as a Member of the World Sports Journalists Association (AIPS), a Member of the Sri Lanka–India Friendship Association, and an Executive Member of the Sri Lanka–Malaysia Media Foundation.
Beyond his journalistic achievements, he is a committed social activist who believes in using media as a tool for positive social change, intercultural dialogue, and strengthening international goodwill through sports and communication.
Sampath C Perera is a distinguished sports media professional with over two decades of experience in broadcasting and television production. He began his career at the Sri Lanka Rupavahini(TV) Corporation (SLRC) and has since covered some of the world’s most celebrated sporting events, including the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and leading cricket tournaments such as the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup and the Asia Cup.
He currently serves as the Head of Production at LNSports Network bringing innovation and excellence to Sri Lanka’s sports media landscape. A two-time Presidential Sports Award winner, Sampath also contributes to the industry’s growth as the Treasurer of the Sri Lanka Sports Journalists’ Association.
Chathuka Divashana is a seasoned media professional and sports journalist with over two decades of experience in radio, television, and digital broadcasting. He began his media career in 2004 with the Independent Television Network (ITN) and its radio arm, Lakhanda Radio, where he established himself as a dynamic presenter, producer, and reporter.
Throughout his career, Chathuka has contributed significantly to Sri Lanka’s electronic media industry, producing and presenting a wide range of programs with a special focus on sports journalism. His voice and insights have become familiar to audiences through his engaging coverage of national and international sporting events.

In 2016, he successfully completed specialized training on Disaster Risk Reduction for Journalists conducted by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) in collaboration with the Hoso Bunka Foundation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Chathuka also worked with China Radio International (CRI) as a Language Expert from 2010 to 2012, where he helped develop Sinhalese-language content, trained staff in innovative FM radio techniques, and created new promotional programs.
Currently, he serves as a Program Presenter at Auslanka Community TV in Melbourne, Australia, continuing his passion for broadcasting and connecting communities through media.

Dr. Hishan Wellmilla is a pioneering figure in sports media, branding, and corporate communication in Sri Lanka, with over 30 years of experience across media, advertising, journalism, marketing, banking, and finance. An expert in Brand Management, Digital Marketing, Corporate Communication, CSR, and Sustainability, Dr. Wellmilla has made a lasting impact on both the media and sports industries through innovation, leadership, and education.
As a co-founder of SriLankaSports.com—the nation’s first dedicated sports website, launched in January 2000 with Leonard Ratnayake—he revolutionized the digital sports landscape of Sri Lanka. Through his company SportsLine Marketing, he transformed the platform into a vibrant sports promotion venture, championing digital transformation in sports journalism.
Dr. Wellmilla is credited with introducing the “Power Play” concept to Netball, which was officially recognized by the International Netball Federation. Under his leadership, numerous innovative sporting events were launched, including seven-a-side netball tournaments, day-night beach football, U-19 futsal, U-15 handball championships, and several national-level futsal and netball cups.
He also advanced inclusion in sports through the Sri Lanka Sports Academy for Special Needs in Matara, which provides opportunities for differently-abled youth, and has worked closely with the National Paralympic Committee of Sri Lanka to enhance media visibility for the Paralympic movement.
A respected sports journalist, commentator, and media strategist, Dr. Wellmilla has over 27 years of journalism experience across print, radio, television, and digital platforms. Neville Victor Anthony is a veteran sports journalist with over four decades of experience in the Sri Lankan media industry, known for his deep commitment to promoting sports journalism in both local and international arenas.

Neville began his education at Holy Rosary School, Bogawantalawa (1960–1962) and continued at St. John Bosco’s College, Hatton (1963–1964). He later attended St. Anthony’s College, Kandy (1965–1969), where he completed his G.C.E. Ordinary Level.

Neville’s professional journey began in 1985 when he joined Express Newspapers, Colombo as a Sports Journalist, later becoming Sports Editor, serving until March 2000. Shanmugaratnam Saksivarnan is an accomplished journalist, media diplomat, TV host, broadcaster, emcee, and voice artist with extensive experience in television and radio broadcasting. He has played key roles in shaping Tamil media in Sri Lanka and continues to contribute significantly to the industry.
He currently serves as Managing Director of Saksi TV (2025–Present). Previously, he held multiple leadership and presenting roles, including Manager, Producer & Senior Executive Presenter at Tamil FM (2021–2025), and Senior Executive Presenter & Producer at Star Tamil Radio & TV (2011–2021). He has also hosted magazine shows and musical reality programs at Channel Eye – Nethra TV (2009–2012) and children’s programming at Shakthi TV (2005–2009).
Shanmugaratnam’s achievements extend beyond broadcasting. He was a school prefect, President of the College Media Unit & Science Union, and Chairman of Hindu FM 96.1 (SLBC). He actively participated in debating programs, music, dance, and speech competitions, earning gold medals and international recognition. Buddika Dunusinghe is a skilled media professional, caregiver, and former sportsman with a diverse background spanning journalism, business management, accounting, and healthcare. Buddika began his career at Rupavahini (National Television) Corporation, Sri Lanka in 2011, where he served as an Assistant Producer and TV Journalist until 2022. His professionalism and dedication earned him opportunities to represent Sri Lanka in international sports media coverage, including the Asian Indoor Games (Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, 2017) and the ICC Cricket World Cup (England & Wales, 2019).
Before joining the media industry, Buddika worked as an Assistant Accountant at Ceylinco Grameen Automobiles (Pvt) Ltd (2005–2009), reflecting his strong foundation in financial and administrative management.

Her distinguished media career includes roles as TV Presenter and Producer at Shakthi TV (2010–2013), TV Presenter at Vasantham TV and Nethra TV, Radio Presenter at Relaks Radio Tamil and ETR Europe Tamil Radio, and Head of News at Lankatamil News. Dinesh S. Perera is an experienced media professional and sports journalist with a long-standing career in television and sports coverage. He began his broadcasting journey in 2005 with Independent Television Network (ITN), where he developed his expertise in production, reporting, and sports media presentation.
An alumnus of Lumbini College, Colombo, Dinesh was an outstanding athlete during his school years. He was an All-Island 800m middle-distance runner, served as the Sports Captain (1996), Athletics Captain (1994), and was appointed Deputy Head Prefect (1996) in recognition of his leadership and dedication.
His passion for production began early — in 1997, he entered the media field as a Lighting Assistant at a production company, later advancing his technical knowledge through a Videography course at the National Youth Council (1999).
Dinesh’s extensive media experience has taken him to international sporting arenas, including his coverage of the Dubai Rugby Sevens in 2017, representing Sri Lanka’s sports journalism community.

Gitika Talukdar is a distinguished international sports journalist, photographer, and sports administrator, accredited by both the Olympic Games and FIFA. With a career that spans global sporting events and editorial leadership, she is widely respected for her commitment to ethical journalism and her contribution to promoting women in sports media.
Gitika currently serves as the Consulting Editor at OlympiaSports.in, where she provides strategic editorial direction and oversees international sports coverage. She is also the Foreign Secretary of the Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ), representing Indian sports media at the global level.
In addition, she works as a Freelance Photojournalist for the Press Trust of India (PTI), capturing some of the most iconic moments in world sport with a distinctive visual and storytelling approach.

Don Sirinama Rajapaksa, born on 14th December 1958, is one of Sri Lanka’s most respected sports journalists and editors, with a career spanning over three decades. Educated at Vijitha Central College, Dikwella, he combines a strong academic foundation with professional excellence in journalism and sports analysis.
Professional Journey:
Mr. Rajapaksa began his career in journalism in 1991 as an area correspondent for the Lankadeepa newspaper. Over the years, he has held key editorial positions, including Sports Editor of Lanka Sunday (2004–2009), Chief Editor of VIYANA Sports Paper (2009–2010), Sports Editor of RANDIWA Newspaper (2010–2011), and Sports Editor of Ceylon Newspapers (MAWBIMA) from 2011 to 2019. Recently, he served as Chief Editor of Sri Lankan Times Web (2022–2024) and is currently the Sports Editor of RATHU-IRA Newspaper.
He has also worked as a freelance journalist in print and electronic media, contributing extensively to cricket, athletics, rugby, and other sports events, both locally and internationally. His international experience includes contributing to SBS Radio Australia and covering major ICC events, including over 100 Test matches, and participating as a contributor for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 in Hambantota.

Hasitha Akalanka Deyalage is an investigative sports journalist with over 18 years of professional experience across television, radio, print, online media, and social platforms. He is widely recognized as the first journalist in Sri Lanka to have worked professionally across all these media formats, consistently advancing the standards of sports reporting in the country.
Hasitha currently resides in London, England, where he serves as an International Staff Reporter for Siyatha TV and as the Presenter and Founder of the CSN Lanka YouTube Channel, a platform dedicated to in-depth and credible sports coverage.
His career began in 2007 as a trainee announcer at VFM, followed by roles as an investigative sports journalist and program presenter at Neth FM and Sinha FM. He subsequently joined CSN TV, Sri Lanka’s first dedicated sports channel, as its first News Manager and News Anchor, before serving as Chief News Anchor and Investigative Sports Journalist at ITN TV, the country’s first television station.
In addition to broadcasting, Hasitha has contributed extensively to print and digital media, serving as Sports Editor and Feature Writer for prominent Lankan and Sabha newspapers. She was among the 12 selected presenters from Sri Lanka who represented the Sky Tamil Media Team at the AFC Asian Cup 2023 in Qatar, marking a significant milestone in her career.
In addition to her on-screen presence, Ashika is also in charge of the Social Media Department at JM Media Production, where she leads digital engagement and content strategies. Previously, she worked as a Program Presenter at Ridam TV (2020–2022), earning recognition for her outstanding presentation skills.
Her academic background includes an Advanced Diploma in Mass Media (2022) from JM Media College, and a Diploma in Primary Education and Child Psychology from IIMS, showcasing her versatile expertise across education and communication.
Ashika’s professionalism and talent have earned her several accolades, including Program Presenter Awards in 2021 and 2022 from Ridam TV.
